St. Francis of Assisi - Infant Onesie
Beloved
by many throughout the centuries, St. Francis of Assisi indelibly marked the
medieval world with his holiness, his charm, and radical embrace of poverty. After kissing the hand of a leper, this son
of a merchant would then relinquish all his worldliness to live as complete
beggar of God. Soon, men and women would
follow in pursuit of this alluring figure, forming a new order of mendicants,
the Franciscans. Renowned for his
extraordinary communion with people as well as nature, he would nonetheless
have such a union with the Lord as to share the same wounds of Christ on his
own body, the stigmata. St. Francis
intercedes especially for stowaways, Italy, ecology, and animals. The original watercolor illustration is
captured with quality on this soft cotton tee.
